Sara Madsen, President Sara loves empowering others to grow. She would like nothing more than to visit with others about their talent, skills and career aspirations and then lead them on a path to success. At a company with a nationwide footprint that means partnering with the business to provide professional and essential skill curriculums with online learning as well as virtual and classroom opportunities. She has never really thought of herself as a techy sort of person, but she is! Sara uses technology tools to engage remote audiences in learning. Jeanne Masseth, Immediate Past President (2022) Jeanne Masseth is a mentoring consultant and executive coach. Growing leaders while driving business results is her jam. Her wheelhouse is crafting high-impact mentoring programs and professional coaching in the workplace. Her peer advisory groups help internal and external leaders solve problems, make better decisions, and take action on their goals. Jeanne’s a certified facilitator and professional coach, in addition to maintaining SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations. When she's not working, you’ll find her cheering on her children’s activities, traveling, running, and enjoying time on the water. |
Jodi Stende, VP of Finance Jodi guides a team of online learning designers to create courses that are meaningful, memorable, and motivational for learners. She has over 10 years of experience in training, content writing, instructional design and online learning. She also advocates for people and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and serves on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Autism Center. |
Kari Harwood, VP Communications and Marketing Kari Harwood has been in bank leadership roles for 14 years, and most recently leads training initiatives for retail employees at Border Bank. In this role, she creates effective content, executes virtual trainings on initiatives, and partners with other departments to identify and implement efficiencies in processes. Kari is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and the ND Center for Technology Women's Leadership Program. She graduated from Concordia College with degrees in Business Management and Spanish. In her free time she is usually spending time with her husband and kids, or planning their next adventure. |
Sarah Johnson, VP of Membership Sarah has worked in the field of Learning & Development for 10 years. She is passionate about helping people learn & grow. In her current role, she works with new hires as they learn the company software and as they get acquainted with their new roles. She has also designed and implemented various soft skills trainings. She loves seeing the evolution that takes place in her new hires from their first day on the job to their last day of formal training. In her spare time, she keeps busy by teaching yoga classes at her own studio: Be You Yoga, and spending time with her husband and children. In 2021, she earned the credential of CPTD. |
Danielle Smith, VP of Programming Administration Danielle is responsible for building, creating, and delivering engaging and effective learning paths for coworkers throughout retail banking. Her passion lies in having the opportunity to be involved in each person's development in their own career. She is a Certified Bank Training Professional (CBTP) and enjoys opportunities to learn from others and continue her own professional growth. Danielle is active in volunteering with Junior Achievement and in her spare time she soaks up all the things tied to being a BoyMom! |
Wade Carlin, VP Programming Recruitment Wade Carlin has worked in Talent Development at Noridian Healthcare Solutions since 2016. Prior to that he held positions in EDI Support Services, Provider Enrollment, and Provider Outreach and Education in the same organization. He has a passion for teaching and a desire to help others be their best. Wade completed his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from the University of North Dakota. He enjoys golf, fishing, FM Redhawks baseball and Fargo Force hockey. |

In her current role she partners with other teams to develop and deliver classroom and virtual classroom training. Her specialty is instructional design and working with learning management systems. Angela is continuously searching for ways to engage team members through opportunities to grow, develop and have fun at work. Often looking to unconventional sources for inspiration and never shys away from something she thing could improve her skill set. |
Andrea Fogderud, Board Member at Large - Fargo Area Andrea Fogderud has worked in corporate learning and development for 22 years and counting. Over the course of her career, she has had focus areas including technical classroom training, designing on-boarding and development programs, facilitating leadership development, serving as a Certified Strengths Coach, and supporting strategic L&D organizational planning. She graduated from Concordia College with a degree in Secondary French Education. In spare time she enjoys traveling, being a first-time hockey mom, and volunteering in the community. |
Lorelei Anderson, Board Member at Large - Bismarck Area Lorelei Anderson has worked in training and development for over 20 years, and has a passion for helping others. Her role with Bravera over the last seven years has included managing online training and the employee intranet, and coordinating employee training events. She joined ATD several years ago to connect with others in her field, and enjoys the networking opportunities and access to additional resources the organization provides. When not working, she enjoys time with family and friends, singing in the local Civic Chorus, and finding ways to make a positive impact for others. |
