Everyone loves a good story, especially during training. Stories have the ability to enlighten as well as entertain, and can provide lessons that even the most perfectly crafted InfoGraphic cannot.  While a picture may be worth a thousand words, a good story is worth more than 10,000 slides. In this session, we’ll discuss what makes a good training story and identify best practices for crafting and delivering them.

Presenter

Amy Jokinen wrote and illustrated her first story,  Tater Tots, when she was three years old. Many years later, she earned a Master of Fine arts degree in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Somewhere along the way, she also discovered a love for teaching and training. She has been a professional development trainer at Eide Bailly for over 10 years, where she loves to incorporate a good story into her training every chance she gets.
