Professional Development Session | What if Training Isn't the Answer (Virtual)

Talent Development and learning professionals are often asked to step in and solve team problems by providing training. But often the problem they are facing can’t be completely solved by even the most robust training course, video, or e-learning product.

As a Talent/Learning professional, how do you find this out before you spend the time to create the learning product? How can you be sure that the training you provide will hit the mark and really solve the problem? And if you find out it won’t, how do you guide stakeholders to an alternate solution?

In this session we will explore a five step process to diagnose the performance issue(s) in a team and determine the matching solution(s) whether or not that includes training. You’ll learn where to start, what questions to ask, and how to match gaps to solutions that will solve the problem.
