Community of Practice (COP) TechTalk: Digital Solutions for Human Challenges

Join ND ATD for a collaborative discussion-based TechTalk where learning and development professionals will explore how technology can help solve real workplace problems. From onboarding hurdles to engagement gaps, we’ll show each other a variety of tech tools that support talent development and HR problem-solving. This 90-minute session is designed to spark ideas, share experiences, and leave you with practical takeaways you can apply in your organization.

Agenda

Duration: 90 minutes

  1. Welcome & Framing the Problem (10 min)
    • Brief overview of common L&D and HR challenges
  2. Tool Showcase & Discussion (60 min)
    • Participants share tech tools they’ve used or are curious about
    • Discussion prompts:
      • What problem did this tool help solve?
      • What worked well? What didn’t?
      • Would you recommend it?
  3. Group Reflection & Idea Exchange (15 min)
    • What new tools or approaches are you excited to try?
    • How might these tools fit into your organization’s strategy?
  4. Wrap-Up & Resources (5 min)
    • Summary of tools discussed
    • Links to explore further
